Does this trade make sense for the Philadelphia 76ers?
Trading away Ben Simmons is something that should have happened over the offseason, but the Philadelphia 76ers got greedy and as a result, they are stuck scrambling for answers. They do not need to trade Simmons this season, but if they don’t, there is no reason for them to get mad and upset when they lose in the first round of the playoffs.
This organization has ruined their relationship with Ben Simmons when it really was not his fault that they lost in the playoffs last season and now, they are not going to get the kind of value they want for him.
Getting an All-Star for Ben Simmons at the trade deadline is going to be extremely hard for the 76ers to try and do, which is why this trade could be their next best option.
