Does this trade make sense for the Chicago Bulls?

Not having Patrick Williams on the wing has really hurt the Chicago Bulls’ overall depth this season and his absence has put a lot more pressure on Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan. Not only are the two All-Stars having to play more minutes every night, but they are having to take on more burden than they need to defensively.

The addition of Justin Holiday does not throw the Bulls ahead of other teams in the Eastern Conference playoff picture, but he is a steady veteran that can play his role perfectly.

Holiday is another catch-and-shoot player the Bulls could have on offense and most importantly, he is able to hold his own defensively. Derrick Jones Jr. and Javonte Green are not big-time contributors on the wing and while Justin Holiday is not either, he can get hot from three-point range.

Since joining the Indiana Pacers in 2019, Holiday has shot 38.3% from three-point range and is everything the Bulls need right now to try and replace Patrick Williams.

Moving Coby White could be something the Chicago Bulls’ front-office has a hard time doing since they do like the production he has given them, but this organization would definitely be happy with adding another wing, as well as a first-round pick from Indiana.
