Would this trade make sense for the New York Knicks?
The New York Knicks made the bold move to remove Kemba Walker not only from their starting lineup, but from their rotation entirely.
With Walker having another year on his contract, it’s important the Knicks manage to move him ahead of the NBA trade deadline without taking on much for bad future salary.
A trade for Goran Dragic would offer the Knicks an intriguing stopgap option at the point guard position. He hasn’t had to take much of a physical toll on his body this season since he has logged just 90 total minutes in five appearances to begin the regular season.
There have been some concerns with Dragic’s body falling apart a bit but those concerns haven’t been nearly as extreme as what’s been said about Walker’s knee.

It wouldn’t require a long-term commitment for a team that is taking on Dragic in a trade. He is playing in the final-year of his current contract.
