Does this trade make sense for the Indiana Pacers?
With the Indiana Pacers on the verge of a rebuild, Caris LeVert would probably be the first player to be traded because of the fact that he is expendable. Indiana acquired LeVert last season and while he has played well for them on the wing, they have Justin Holiday, Chris Duarte, and T.J. Warren, who is close to returning from injury.
They have guys to replace LeVert’s production and his three-point shooting woes have limited what this team can do with him on the floor. The three-point shot is such a big part of a team’s game plans in today’s NBA and naturally, most shooting guards and small-forwards can make multiple three-point shots a game.
This is not the case with LeVert, whereas it is the case with the guys who would replace him. Holiday and Duarte would obviously see their minutes increase, but Cedi Osman (41.4 3P%) and Dylan Windler (40.0 3P%) would be two big additions on the wing for this team.
Not only can they score from the perimeter, but they would give the Pacers some more young depth to play around with in rotations next to Brogdon and Sabonis. As for Isaac Okoro, he is only in his second season in the NBA and is already an above-average wing defender.

Standing 6’5” with a 6’8” wingspan, Okoro is generally able to guard some guys who are bigger than him and he is as mobile as they come on the perimeter. Isaac Okoro would fit in well on the wing in Indiana, which is why this trade definitely makes sense for the Indiana Pacers.
