Golden State Warriors Receive: F Pascal Siakam, F/C Chris Boucher

This is the kind of blockbuster deal that people have been waiting for the Golden State Warriors to make. They find a trade partner in this scenario with the Toronto Raptors, who make the difficult decision to unlock Pascal Siakam.

Siakam signed his designated rookie extension that kicked in last season. It was a four-year deal worth up to $156 million if he hit certain incentives. He will be an unrestricted free agent in 2024 when he will look to cash in again.

Joining him in Golden State is versatile big man, Chris Boucher. Boucher has a lot of intrigue with his shot-blocking and 3-point shooting ability. He is better equipped to help the Warriors win now than James Wiseman, who is part of the package heading to Toronto.

The Raptors are receiving the No. 2 overall pick from the 2020 draft, giving them a building block for their team at the center position. He has immense potential but for a team looking to win now such as Golden State, trading him makes some sense.

Joining Wiseman in the deal is Andrew Wiggins, who will be having a homecoming as he hails from Toronto. Wiggins has two years remaining on his deal that will pay him just under $65.2 million,

The unprotected first-round pick in 2022 is a nice asset to have. The pick swap may not result in another selection coming to Toronto, but on the chance, the Warriors slip up and end up in the lottery again, it would benefit the Raptors, who will get the more favorable selection of the two.
