Would this trade make sense for the Utah Jazz?
The Utah Jazz finished with the best record in the NBA this season but that does not mean that they are a finished product. The doubts grow larger as a result of failing to make it to the Western Conference Finals.
It would still be interesting to see the Jazz make a move such as this one. Ben Simmons would have to play off the ball in Utah. Mitchell is one of the top guards in the NBA and the focal point of the offense. This might actually be a good move for both Simmons and Utah,
Simmons has struggled to put the ball in the basket and this would take it out of his hands a bit. Simmons can still get it done on the defensive side of the ball and act as a wing. Having the ability to pair him with Rudy Gobert would make for quite the tandem on that end of the floor.
Any team that makes a deal for Simmons will have to have a plan and that includes a win-now team like Utah. There is a lot of pressure to win at a high level for the Jazz despite facing a restrictive landscape to make such improvements.

The Jazz has not made it to where they want to be recently so this could push them toward a trade. If Ben Simmons is the piece, they better be ready to move some assets in return.
