Utah Jazz Receive: G/F Ben Simmons, G Danny Green, F Paul Reed
Philadelphia 76ers Receive: G Mike Conley, G Jordan Clarkson, G Joe Ingles, G Jared Butler, 2023 First Round Pick Swap, 2025 First Round Pick Swap

We are almost to the month of November and Ben Simmons is still a member of the Philadelphia 76ers. Will that remain the case much longer?

It seems like it would benefit the front office to trade him but nothing has been done just yet. Mostly, the team is waiting for Simmons to return back as an active member of the team and for a superstar like Damian Lillard or Bradley Beal to request a trade.

With Lillard continuing to reaffirm his desire to stay with the Portland Trail Blazers, it seems quite unlikely he would look to get moved during the regular season — if at all.

In this NBA trade scenario, Simmons would be moved to the Utah Jazz for a return that doesn’t feature a superstar, but instead, includes a pair of high-quality scoring talents in Mike Conley and Jordan Clarkson that would bring a real jolt the 76ers need.

The asking price for Simmons has been high to this point. Utah has some pieces and the return would begin with Mike Conley and Jordan Clarkson. Conley recently signed a new contract with Utah this offseason. Meanwhile, Joe Ingles and Jared Butler would be included for added value.

The two sides would also swap first-round draft picks in 2023 and 2025. Such assets are not as important to the 76ers as gaining immediate contributors since the team desires to win in Joel Embiid’s prime.

Let’s take a closer look and see how this trade would benefit both sides right away.
