Andre Iguodala’s Return To The Warriors Has Been A Huge “Spark” For Them:
The 2015 NBA Finals MVP ended up being the “odd-man-out” in Golden State following their run to the NBA Finals in 2019 and spent the last two seasons in Miami because the Warriors could not afford to keep him with the contracts of their three All-Stars increasing.
Taking a minimum contract to come back and play for the Warriors this season was something many saw coming and Iguodala’s impact early on in the season both on and off-the-court has been tremendous.
“I think when he came here, there was that narrative that he was just a locker room presence and just a veteran who’s just going to come in and be a chaperone and make sure the young guys stayed on the straight and narrow, but he made it clear from day one that he’s still got a lot left in the tank,” Curry told reporters following the Warriors’ Opening Night win against the Lakers last week. “What he’s going to do on the floor will be as meaningful as what he does to boost our culture and help the young guys.”
At 37-years-old, it is quite remarkable to see Andre Iguodala still being a high-level contributor for this team on both ends of the court and he really has proven that he was the missing link for them the last couple of years.

Obviously, injuries have played a big role in the Warriors missing the postseason for the last two seasons, but if they can remain healthy this year, this is a team that can absolutely run the table in the Western Conference and possibly makes it back to the NBA Finals.
