Golden State Starts The 2021-22 Season Strong
Having a revamped roster with the additions of Andre Iguodala, Otto Porter Jr., Nemanja Bjelica and others has helped the Warriors start the 2021-22 season 4-0 for the first time since the 2015-16 season and Stephen Curry has picked up right where he left off during last season.
Through their first four games, Curry is averaging 29.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 1.8 steals and is shooting 43.4% from the floor, 40.0% from three-point range.
In their first game of the season against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers, Curry recorded a triple-double for just the eighth time in his career and he is currently tied for the league-lead in double-doubles, making him an early favorite for the league-MVP award this season.
“We know we have a lot of things that we can sharpen up, like every team in the league. But we have the capability to do it,” Curry said following the Warriors’ 3-0 start after beating the Sacramento Kings on Sunday. “Most teams kind of trick themselves a little bit. I really feel like we have that capability to take productive strives every game.”
