4. Ja Morant Highlight Reel
There were a lot of people that questioned the strategy that the Memphis Grizzlies used this offseason. They operated like a team with an eye toward the future despite making strides and qualifying for the postseason in 2021.
Well, for at least one game, those naysayers were proven wrong.
The Grizzlies came out and had a strong game against the Cleveland Cavaliers — winning 132-121.
The offense was the issue at times last season, but they had it going on at that end of the court. Five players scored in double-figures, including three that scored at least 20. De’Anthony Melton scored 20 on the nose, while Desmond Bane scored 22.

Leading the way was point guard, Ja Morant. He poured in 37, adding six rebounds and six assists. He added two blocks for good measure and turned the ball over only twice. He also provided this highlight-reel play.
While it is only one game, it is encouraging because this performance came without Dillon Brooks in the lineup. Taylor Jenkins adjusted his lineup, inserting Bane and Melton as starters and for at least one game it worked out masterfully.
