Opening Night Takeaways For Lakers, Warriors, Nets, Bucks

NBA Analysis Network

The 2021-22 NBA regular season officially got underway on Tuesday evening. The reigning champion Milwaukee Bucks received their rings against the Brooklyn Nets to kick the evening off.

It was a rematch from the team’s epic second-round matchup in the 2021 postseason. The Bucks won that series in seven games, as Kevin Durant’s foot being on the 3-point line put the game into overtime instead of advancing the Nets into the Eastern Conference Finals.

Last night’s game didn’t have nearly as much theatrics, as the Bucks handled business 127-104. Brooklyn made it closer going into halftime and got within striking distance at times in the third quarter, but the Bucks were too much to overcome.

In the nightcap, the Golden State Warriors traveled to take on the Los Angeles Lakers. It was a tale of two halves, as the Lakers had their way in the first half, but it was the Warriors who finished the game strong.
