3. How Healthy Is Giannis Antetokounmpo?
Giannis Antetokounmpo was masterful for the Milwaukee Bucks throughout their postseason run. What makes it even more impressive is the fact that he suffered a knee injury in the midst of it.
The injury was bad enough that it kept him out of the last two games of the Eastern Conference FInals against the Atlanta Hawks. He returned for the NBA Finals and looked visibly hampered at times. But, he didn’t let that stop him from dominating the Suns and winning Finals MVP.
We are now three months removed from when the Bucks clinched the series in Game 6, but the knee injury is still a bit of a concern. He admitted this earlier in October when training camp was in full swing.
It will be interesting to see just how much he plays in the early going. The Bucks don’t want to get off to a slow start, but they know there is a bigger picture than regular-season games in October and November.
