Cleared to play by NBA
Ahead of the draft, Jared Butler was cleared to play in the NBA, but he did not hear his name called in the first round.
Teams started trading up and down in the second round, yet Butler was still left waiting for his phone to ring with a team giving him an opportunity to begin his professional playing career.

Jared Butler finally heard his name called, as the Utah Jazz selected him via Memphis in this year’s draft, their only draft pick this offseason.
