The Dallas Mavericks were listed as a team that could sign one of the notable free-agent point guards in the offseason.

Instead, the Mavericks chose to stay pat, with Jalen Brunson potentially getting a chance to earn the starting spot. Regardless of who starts at point guard, Dallas wants someone that can ease some pressure off of Luka Doncic.

Even though Doncic could end up being the point guard when the season begins, Malcolm Brogdon would fit nicely on the Dallas Mavericks. Brogdon is an efficient shooter, making 38.6 percent of the three-point attempts in his career.

The former first-round pick out of Virginia is coming off of a season where he recorded a career-best 21.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game.
