New Orleans Pelicans
One of the first moves in free agency was Lonzo Ball joining the Chicago Bulls via sign-and-trade.
The New Orleans Pelicans had an opportunity to bring back Ball if they wanted to, but they elected to conduct a separate trade for Devonte’ Graham to fill their point guard spot.
While Graham is a capable shooter, New Orleans could use a two-way point guard to pair with Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson.
Malcolm Brogdon wouldn’t need the ball often to be effective as he’s shown that he can be productive in off-ball situations. So Ingram and Williamson could still have the offense go through them on most possessions with Brogdon working as the No. 3 option.

Plus, with the New Orleans Pelicans lacking experience on the roster, they could use someone like Brogdon, who has played in multiple playoff series in his career.
