The Indiana Pacers did not undergo the roster overhaul that many were expecting them to this NBA offseason. The biggest change was that Nate Bjorkgren was fired after one season as head coach and replaced by former Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle.
Carlisle is taking over after 13 seasons with the Dallas Mavericks, where he won an NBA Championship in 2011. Indiana is hopeful that he can bring some success to them as they haven’t advanced beyond the first round since 2014.
The Indiana Pacers have a solid roster, but it could use a little balancing out. They will have to eventually break up their jumbo frontcourt of Myles Turner and Domantas Sabonis. There are positives to keeping each player, as Sabonis is a two-time All-Star and Turner is one of the best defensive players in the NBA.
Of the two, Turner has been mentioned most frequently in trades. In addition to Turner, point guard Malcolm Brogdon has also been mentioned in some NBA trade rumors.
