Philadelphia 76ers Receive: G Goran Dragic, F OG Anunoby, G Malachi Flynn, TOR 2022 1st Round Pick (Unprotected)
Toronto Raptors Receive: G/F Ben Simmons, G Jaden Springer, F Paul Reed
This is the “homerun” trade or best trade the Raptors could look to do involving Goran Dragic, but it definitely seems like a long-shot that they could be the ones to acquire Ben Simmons at the cost of Dragic, Anunoby and Flynn.
Plus, Toronto really likes what their two young products can bring to this franchise for the foreseeable future, so they will not be quick to sacrifice them just to get Ben Simmons.
All offseason long, the Philadelphia 76ers have been looking to move Ben Simmons and they have not found the right deal for him yet… and they probably will not! If they are to trade Simmons before the start of the regular season, they will likely have to take less value than imagined for the 3x All-Star and the Raptors have been one of the teams that has said interest in Simmons.
Adding him to their roster with Fred VanVleet and Pascal Siakam immediately makes Toronto a worthy team in the Eastern Conference that is really strong defensively, but at the same time, losing key secondary talents in OG Anunoby, Goran Dragic and Malachi Flynn is a lot of value to send away.

The Raptors really like what they have with OG Anunoby moving forward and they recently signed him to a four-year, $72M extension last season, so it does seem a little unrealistic that Toronto would look to trade the versatile wing who brings a lot to the table both now and moving forward.
In terms of value, the Raptors would definitely be getting a great return in this deal by acquiring Ben Simmons from the 76ers, but overall, they are probably better off keeping Dragic, Anunoby and Flynn rather than trading for Simmons. These three guys are all core pieces on this roster right now and will be instrumental in their chances of making the playoffs.
