Toronto Raptors Receive: G/F Ben Simmons, G Jaden Springer, F Paul Reed
Philadelphia 76ers Receive: G Goran Dragic, F OG Anunoby, G Malachi Flynn, TOR 2022 First-Round Pick (Unprotected)

The saga between the Philadelphia 76ers and Ben Simmons comes to an end with this trade involving the Toronto Raptors. The Raptors land Simmons in this deal and hope that he can become the new face of their franchise.

Heading north along with Simmons is Jaden Springer, who was the 76ers’ first-round pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. He was selected 28th overall out of Tennessee and has the looks of a good combo guard at the next level.

Paul Reed is also included in this deal from Philadelphia to help match salaries. He’d be hard-pressed to crack the Raptors’ rotation in the frontcourt.

Heading to Philadelphia is an intriguing package. The 76ers are picking up two point guards in veteran Goran Dragic and second-year player Malachi Flynn to help fill the void left by Simmons’s departure.

OG Anunoby is the prize heading back to Philadelphia. He is developing into one of the better two-way wings in the NBA. His 3-point shot has developed nicely and at only 24-years old there is still plenty of potential to unlock.

The unprotected 2022 first-round pick is another nice asset for the 76ers to snag. That can be used to add another young, high-upside player to the roster or as a sweetener in a trade package.

There is a lot of fall out from a trade of this magnitude occurring. How does it impact both teams? Let’s take a look, starting with the Raptors.
