Indiana Pacers Receive: G Kyrie Irving, F/C James Johnson
Brooklyn Nets Receive: G Malcolm Brogdon, C Myles Turner, 2022 First-Round Pick (Lottery Protected)
This would be quite a blockbuster trade between the Indiana Pacers and Brooklyn Nets. The Pacers, who could use a superstar to get them over the hump after being turned down by the Philadelphia 76ers, finally land one.
The Pacers acquire All-Star Kyrie Irving in this deal. Irving will slot into the starting point guard role and give Indiana the star power it craves. Along with Irving, the Pacers will receive versatile veteran big man, James Johnson.
Heading to Brooklyn is Malcolm Brogdon, who was offered to the 76ers in the Ben Simmons package. He gives Brooklyn a little more versatility and two-way play in their starting lineup compared to Irving.
Turner is the real difference-maker, as he will become the team’s starting center. The center spot was an area of weakness for Brooklyn last season and Turner would represent a massive upgrade.
