This Kings-Sixers Trade is Headlined By Ben Simmons

The standoff between the Philadelphia 76ers and NBA All-Star Ben Simmons is still going on. With training camp getting underway, Simmons remains on the roster but is away from the team. He has vowed to never play a game for the franchise again.

That puts the 76ers in a tough spot. His trade value was already lowered by his performance during the 2021 NBA postseason and this isn’t going to help matters. The organization still believes that he will return to the team eventually, but that seems to be a pipe dream at this point.

The 76ers can also fine Simmons for everything that he misses, whether it is training camp, preseason games, or regular-season games. Alas, that looming over him has not seemed to make him budge.

There are plenty of teams that would love to get Simmons on their roster. Despite his shortcomings offensively, he is still elite in other areas and would help plenty of teams win some games.
