Moses Brown – Dallas Mavericks

Moses Brown was traded from Oklahoma City to Boston and then to Dallas this offseason, but he may not be done jumping around the league just yet.

The 21-year-old center finally got a chance to prove himself in this league last year with the Thunder and made the most of his opportunities, averaging 8.6 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks while shooting 54.5% from the floor in 43 total games.

Being a lengthy, athletic and strong interior presence, Moses Brown should definitely hold a backup role at the very least in this league, but he may not be able to do so in Dallas. The Mavericks currently have Kristaps Porzingis, Boban Marjanovic, Willie Cauley-Stein, Dwight Powell, and Moses Brown as big men on their roster, not leaving many minutes up for grabs.

Being owed just $1.7M for the 2021-22 season, Brown would be a very cheap and affordable insurance option for the Milwaukee Bucks to target in a trade. Should something happen to Brook Lopez during the regular season, the Bucks do have Bobby Portis as a potential backup option, but they do not have any other frontcourt depth.

I guess you could throw in Giannis Antetokounmpo as being a guy who could technically play the center position for Milwaukee if he needed to, but having Moses Brown on their roster would make things a lot simpler for Bucks management.

Having a young, strong rebounder like Moses Brown on their bench makes the Bucks a much deeper team in their frontcourt.
