Can the Phoenix Suns repeat what they did last season?

Not many people expected the Phoenix Suns to be able to run the gauntlet in the Western Conference last season. Eliminating the Los Angeles Lakers in the first-round sent a needed message and the team never looked back since.

Injuries to other teams benefitted them, but make no mistake, Phoenix deserved to be in the NBA Finals. That being said, the Suns want to prove that last year wasn’t a fluke and that they are one of the premier teams in the NBA now.

A trio of Chris Paul, Devin Booker, and Deandre Ayton is definitely a formidable one to have. The Suns will have a chance against just about any team if Paul can manage to stay healthy and avoid a potential decline as he continues to age toward the end of his NBA career.

Seeing that other teams in the Western Conference improved this offseason, Phoenix has their work cut out for them to return to the NBA Finals.
