1. DeMarcus Cousins
The career of DeMarcus Cousins was once very promising. It was not too long ago that he was regarded as possibly the best center in the NBA. He could virtually do it all, as he made an impact on both ends of the court. Unfortunately, injuries then began setting in.
Cousins ruptured his Achilles in 2019 playing with the New Orleans Pelicans. He battled back to get on the court with the Golden State Warriors the next season but suffered a significant quad injury during the postseason.
He fought to return for the NBA Finals that season to try and help the Warriors win. They ultimately fell short, as Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson were also injured. Cousins would suffer another significant injury that offseason, tearing his ACL and missing the entire 2019-20 season.
He returned to the court last season for the Houston Rockets, eventually ending up with the Los Angeles Clippers. He showed that he still had something left in the tank to offer teams, as some of his per-36 minute stats with the Clippers were in line with previous seasons in his career.

There is no doubt that Cousins can still help teams as a backup center. He produces even in short stints, as he averaged 8.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.6 blocks in only 17.4 minutes per game last season.
