4. Wesley Matthews
Wesley Matthews has a tough 2020-21 season with the Los Angeles Lakers. The veteran wing struggled to find his footing with a somewhat inconsistent role on the team and ever-changing lineups caused by injuries.
The 33.5 percent that he shot from the 3-point line was the lowest mark in his career, as 36 percent was his previous low. He is a proven shooter, knocking down 37.9 percent of his attempts in his career, so it is a little surprising to see him still available in free agency with training camp so close.
Going on 35-years old, Matthews has lost a step or two, but he is still a solid defender. He can handle himself on the wing and can drop down to defend some backcourt players in certain situations as well. Matthews can certainly still provide some minutes as a good defender.
Teams looking to contend for a championship will likely turn to Matthews at some point during training camp or early in the season once they see what they have with their current roster.
