Breakdown Of Offseason Moves
The Miami Heat was very active in free agency. The biggest move that they made was signing Kyle Lowry away from the Toronto Raptors. They had pursued Lowry at the trade deadline, but a deal was unable to be made. So, they landed their guy with a three-year, $90 million deal via sign-and-trade.
Heading to Toronto are Goran Dragic, Precious Achiuwa, and a future second-round pick.
In addition to those two players, the Heat also lost Trevor Ariza and Kendrick Nunn to the Los Angles Lakers in free agency. Nemanja Bjelica signed with the Golden State Warriors, the same team it is rumored Andre Iguodala will be joining eventually.
Those were the only four free agents that left the Heat this offseason. Max Strus and Gabe Vicent both re-signed on two-year, $3.5 million deals. Dewayne Dedmon and Victor Oladipo were brought back on one-year deals.

The biggest re-signing was Duncan Robinson. The sharpshooter agreed to a five-year, $90 million deal early in free agency despite being a restricted free agent. That is the largest contract ever signed by an undrafted player in NBA history.
Robinson wasn’t the only player to hit the jackpot, as Jimmy Butler did as well. Butler and the team are working toward a four-year max extension that will pay him in excess of $184 million.
