Philadelphia 76ers Receive: G Kyrie Irving, F Sekou Doumbouya

This is a straightforward NBA trade scenario that features the Brooklyn Nets sending out Kyrie Irving to the Philadelphia 76ers for Ben Simmons with a throw-in for the deal on both sides.

There has been mention of how Kyrie Irving would retire if he were traded by the Nets and if that’s true, then this is a trade scenario the 76ers would not consider, of course.

However, assuming that’s not the case, the Nets would favor defensive versatility by making a trade of this nature. Given how James Harden and Kevin Durant would still be in the fold, the line of thinking is certainly a defensible one.

As for the Philadelphia 76ers, it’s key they find a dynamic shot creator and isolation threat on the perimeter and managing to land Kyrie Irving would be a legitimate home-run of an outcome.
