They have stated numerous times that they do not intend to trade or entertain offers for Jerami Grant, so it seems very hard to believe that the Detroit Pistons would change their mind on this.
Pistons GM Troy Weaver has done a fantastic job over the last year and a half of building this young Pistons core, and if they were to trade Jerami Grant, they would be undoing some of the things they have built.
While Malik Beasley and Jaden McDaniels are two high-level young talents to add to their young roster, the Pistons already have a strong foundation, with Jerami Grant being the focal point of their team. He is coming off the best year of his career, and Grant himself is relatively young at 27-years-old.
On a favorable contract and under contract through the 2022-23 season, there is no need for the Pistons to trade Jerami Grant at this time.

Now, if he has another strong season and his value increases even more, maybe Detroit will entertain the idea of trading him in the offseason, but trading Grant now during the 2021-22 season would be detrimental to this young team’s development.
Cade Cunningham is destined for greatness, and Saddiq Bey has a chance to one day take over Jerami Grant’s role on this team, but right now, these two high-level young talents need an experienced leader like Grant on this roster.
