2. Quin Snyder
Quin Snyder is heading into his eighth season as head coach of the Utah Jazz. He is the second-longest tenured coach in franchise history, trailing only the great Jerry Sloan. Snyder is also one of the longest-tenured coaches currently in the NBA.
Only Gregg Popovich, who was hired in 1996, and Erik Spoelstra, who was hired in 2008, have been in their current head coaching spot in the NBA longer. He is tied with Steve Kerr, who is also entering his eighth season as head coach of the Golden State Warriors
It is truly remarkable how long all of those coaches have remained in their positions. Over half the NBA has named a new head coach this decade already. Could the Jazz be joining that list soon?
Synder has had excellent results with the Jazz. They have made the postseason five consecutive years and he has a .583 winning percentage, going 323-231 over that time. But, the team’s lack of success in the postseason is something that could cost him sooner than later.

Snyder is only 19-26 in the postseason, advancing beyond the first round three times but never into the Conference Finals. This last season’s elimination from the postseason for the Jazz was especially difficult.
The Jazz finished as the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference with the best record in the NBA. Utah defeated the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round but lost to the Los Angeles Clippers in the second round. They lost the final two games of the series, with Game 5 in Salt Lake City, despite Kawhi Leonard being sidelined with a knee injury.

Another postseason outcome like that and the Jazz could be looking for a new headman in 2022.
