Would this trade make sense for the LA Clippers?
The LA Clippers originally brought Kawhi Leonard and Paul George to town in hopes of building a dynasty, but the two have yet to bring a title to Los Angeles yet.
It is still early in their tenure, but this team expects to win right away. If that is the case, the front office can continue to be aggressive when adding other stars.
Leonard opted out of his contract this offseason and signed a lucrative extension with the Clippers. However, he is expected to be sidelined for most of the 2021-22 season, if not all of it.
Despite their strength on the wing, the Clippers could use the stretch-five skill-set that Porzingis brings to the table against a variety of matchups. If Porzingis can regain his mobility after recovering from injury, he could bring some rim protection for the on-ball defenders to funnel drives to in the paint.

This is where the Clippers can look to continue to be balanced on both ends of the floor. If that were to happen, they will remain one of the top three teams in the Western Conference and have a chance to compete in the finals this year.
