Sacramento Kings
The Sacramento Kings were another team that was showing interest in Kyle Kuzma earlier this offseason. The franchise has been monitoring him a while and thought they finally had him.
Sacramento was under the impression they were getting Kuzma in a deal earlier this offseason, as it was reported Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell and the 22nd pick were going to Sacramento for Buddy Hield.
That deal was nixed at the last second, but the Kings should still keep tabs on Kuzma going forward. He would be a natural fit for their team.
Kuzma’s NBA career began with Luke Walton as his head coach. They were the two best seasons of his career and he would have a chance to replicate that as Walton is the head coach of the Kings, for now.

Sacramento is also desperate for help at either forward spot. Harrison Barnes is the only reliable player they have at those spots, as Marvin Bagley III has not met expectations yet in his career. Adding Kuzma would help the Kings balance out their guard-heavy roster.
Kuzma’s improvements as a defender would be welcomed in Sacramento, as they are coming off the worst defensive rating season in NBA history. Having anyone that can play even slightly below-average defense would be an upgrade for them.
