Oklahoma City Thunder
The Oklahoma City Thunder were one of the teams that were reportedly interested in acquiring Kyle Kuzma earlier this season before he was traded to the Washington Wizards. So, it would make sense if they kept tabs on him once again even though he is with another team.
While Kuzma doesn’t fit perfectly into the Thunder’s current timeline, he is still quite young at 26-years old. He would be an upgrade and likely the best forward on the roster should he be acquired.
While he has had some difficulties in recent seasons, Kuzma has shown that he can get the job done when presented with the opportunity to do so. He thrived at times when stepping into the starting lineup for an injured Anthony Davis and should produce well, getting starter’s minutes every night.
While the Thunder are still in asset collection mode, they eventually have to start winning some games. Kuzma would provide a second scoring option alongside Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the lone locked-in foundational piece that Oklahoma City has.

Given the extensive amount of draft picks the Thunder have, surrendering one in exchange for Kuzma won’t hurt them much in the long run.
