Does this trade make sense for Indiana Pacers?

As much as they have denied wanting to move Myles Turner, the Pacers’ big man is definitely available for the right price.

Adding another key scorer and shooting in their backcourt is something the Pacers are interested in doing and by moving Turner, Lamb, and a first-round pick, they would be adding CJ McCollum.

Not only does McCollum bring a ton of scoring abilities with him to Indiana, but he would definitely make them a solidified playoff team and actually a really strong team in terms of potentially making a run in the playoffs.

Taking Myles Turner out of their rotation and putting in CJ McCollum gives the Pacers four players who averaged 20+ PPG last season and TJ Warren, who has a chance to come back from his foot injury and be another dynamic offensive threat.

Jeremy Lamb is a player the Pacers want to move sooner than later and Myles Turner really has reached the peak of what he will be in the NBA.

With Indiana contending for a playoff spot, they are not going to get the same value as McCollum with their first-round pick in 2022, which is why this is definitely a deal that makes sense for them to improve.
