Sacramento Kings Receive: F/G Ben Simmons, G Danny Green
The Ben Simmons saga finally comes to an end with this deal. The Sacramento Kings and Philadelphia 76er hammer out a deal that works for both sides.
The Minnesota Timberwolves and Toronto Raptors are two teams reportedly pursuing Simmons still. But, the offers haven’t appealed to the 76ers just yet. As a result, the Kings swoop in and get the deal done.
The Philadelphia 76ers are reportedly looking for an All-Star caliber player in return for Simmons and in this deal, they accomplish that goal. De’Aaron Fox is one of the many up-and-coming young point guards in the league and is a solid centerpiece.
Buddy Hield has been on the Kings’ trade block a while. He was close to being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers this offseason before they pivoted to a deal with the Washington Wizards for Russell Westbrook. He gets the fresh start he needs as well.
