Cleveland Cavaliers Receive: Dillon Brooks
Memphis Grizzlies Receive: Larry Nance Jr. and 2023 First-Round Pick

The Memphis Grizzlies and Cleveland Cavaliers come together on this swap centered on Dillon Brooks. It is a deal that works for both sides as they both come away happy with this swap.

The Cavaliers land Brooks, who gives them a hard-nosed two-way player on the wing. He gives them a lot of what they are currently missing there, as he can step right into the starting lineup if need be.

It will be tough for Memphis to part with their second-leading scorer from last season, but this is a deal that would be hard to pass up. Larry Nance Jr. is an excellent combo forward that can play either spot in the frontcourt.

His improved floor spacing and all-around game will fit in nicely with the Grit-n-Grind of the Grizzlies. While Nance is a solid play, the first-round pick is the crown jewel in this package.

Landing a first-round pick, an unprotected one at that, is excellent value for Memphis. They can do a lot with that pick, especially if it is as high in the lottery as recent first-round picks for Cleveland have been.

What makes this trade worthwhile for both teams? Let’s take a look, starting with the Cavaliers.
