This NBA trade scenario would meet the standards of a blockbuster deal. There are a lot of talented players on the move here.

The Golden State Warriors land the headliner of the deal, Brandon Ingram. The soon-to-be 24-year old is already an All-Star and excellent point forward. The price to acquire him isn’t cheap, but he is worth it.

Along with him is a former lottery pick, Jaxson Hayes. Hayes has some legal troubles to sort through but would give the Warriors another option in their frontcourt with bouncy athleticism.

The headliner heading back to New Orleans is James Wiseman, the second overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. He is one of the best trade chips in the league and the Warriors decide to cash him in here.

Andrew Wiggins is used to help match salary, giving New Orleans an emerging two-way win to help replace Ingram’s production. Moses Moody, the No. 12 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, essentially counts as a first-round pick in this swap.

The 2022 second-round pick via the Toronto Raptors gives New Orleans another trade chip in their war chest to upgrade the roster. While there is nearly $10 million more salary heading to New Orleans, they can use the traded player exception from Steven Adams to take on some salary.
