This Pelicans-Warriors Trade Is Centered Around Brandon Ingram

This NBA offseason has been a peculiar one for the New Orleans Pelicans. They started things off by clearing a ton of cap space, sending Eric Bledsoe and Steven Adams to the Memphis Grizzlies.

After that trade, many people figured they had a big move planned for the offseason. Kyle Lowry was reportedly on their target list and he would have been an excellent pickup to replace Lonzo Ball.

When Lowry landed with the Miami Heat, many presumed they would match any offer sheet Ball received as they now had the money to do it. That didn’t occur either, as Ball ended up with the Chicago Bulls via sign-and-trade.

New Orleans acquired Devonte’ Graham from the Charlotte Hornets in a sign-and-trade, surrendering a future first-round pick in the process. Essentially, they came away with Jonas Valanciunas, Tomas Satoransky, Garrett Temple, Graham and a future second-round pick for Ball, Bledsoe, Adams and two future first-round picks.
