3. Christian Wood
One of the glaring issues the Miami Heat had last season was the lack of frontcourt depth, especially after Kelly Olynyk was traded away. Outside of Bam Adebayo, the Heat had virtually nothing to rely on in the frontcourt outside of rookie Precious Achiuwa and eventually Dewayne Dedmond.
They have done a good job beginning to rectify that with the signings of P.J. Tucker and Markieff Morris coupled with the return of Dedmon. However, none offer the impact that Christian Wood would provide.
The Houston Rockets signed Wood to a three-year, $41 million deal last offseason and he immediately proved he was a steal. He impacts the game on both ends of the court, scoring a career-high 21 points per game from every level of court. He made 37.4 percent of his 3-pointers and 58.1 percent of his 2-pointers.
That offensive firepower would pair nicely with Adebayo in the frontcourt. Wood is also an excellent rebounder and strong defender, averaging 9.6 boards, 1.2 blocks and 0.8 steals per game.

For a team that sometimes lacked scoring options, Wood could provide them with another player capable of filling it up on any given night.
