Ben Simmons
It is only a matter of time until the Philadelphia 76ers and Ben Simmons part ways. An uncomfortable atmosphere would be created should the team hold onto him into training camp, let alone the regular season.
Simmons has made his intentions clear that he wants out. He has cut off communications with the organization, leaving all discussions to go through his agent, Rich Paul. Philadelphia is reportedly motivated to get a deal done, but they are going to have to be willing to negotiate and accept a more realistic package.
Looking for an All-Star caliber player in exchange for Simmons is understandable. He is a 25-year old multi-time All-Star and All-NBA Defensive team member. Despite his shortcomings on offense, Ben Simmons can still be a difference-maker given the other aspects of his game.
Several teams would be willing to take him on. His defensive impact would be a welcome addition to teams such as the Portland Trail Blazers, Sacramento Kings and New Orleans Pelicans. He has star power, which could help organizations attract free agents to them as well.

A Ben Simmons trade seems inevitable at this point. If Daryl Morey holds steady with their ludicrous asking prices, then things will get ugly and dragged out.
