Sekou Doumbouya
Troy Weaver has done a magnificent job reshaping the Detroit Pistons roster since taking over as general manager. The team is loaded with young, talented players and the future’s looking bright in the Motor City for the first time in a while.
Only one player is remaining on the roster that wasn’t acquired with Weaver overseeing the team; Sekou Doumbouya. Doumbouya was the 15th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft but he has yet to find his footing in Detroit.
He regressed a bit in his second season with the team, and at this point, a change of scenery would likely be best for him. Weaver has added a ton of firepower to the frontcourt, selecting Saddiq Bey and Isaiah Stewart last season. Jerami Grant is also locked into a starting forward spot and Kelly Olynyk was signed in free agency as well.
Those players brought on by the new regime are likely to receive chances before Doumbouya, who was selected by the last regime.

At 20-years old, Doumbouya is still young enough to have teams take a chance on him. With Detroit needing to cut their roster down by the start of the season, he is the likeliest player to be on the move on the roster.
