Golden State Warriors Receive: G/F Dillon Brooks, MEM 2022 1st Round Pick (Swap, More Favorable to GSW)
Memphis Grizzlies Receive: C James Wiseman, GSW 2022 1st Round Pick (Swap, Less Favorable to MEM)

This trade would certainly surprise a lot of people to see. Both of these players have been included in NBA trade rumors at points in the offseason, but never in a deal for each other.

For the Golden State Warriors, they are getting another wing in Dillon Brooks to add to the impressive group they have put together at that spot. Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, rookie Moses Moody and now Brooks give them a formidable wing rotation.

The first-round pick swap is a cherry on top for Golden State. Should they finish above the Memphis Grizzlies in the standings, they have the right to swap picks and take the higher selection.

Memphis is getting James Wiseman, one of the most intriguing trade pieces that have been discussed in trade talks this offseason. The No. 2 overall pick from the 2020 NBA Draft has immense potential; will he realize it with the Grizzlies?

The pick swap would hurt if they moved down the 2022 NBA Draft, but to acquire a young player with Wiseman’s potential, is worthwhile.
