Cleveland Cavaliers Receive: G/F Dillon Brooks
Memphis Grizzlies Receive: F Larry Nance Jr., CLE 2023 1st Round Pick (Unprotected)

Larry Nance Jr. is another player “available” on the trade block, but much like Dillon Brooks and Kyle Anderson, the Cleveland Cavaliers will only trade him if they can get a really solid return for him. Who knows if both sides would be interested in each other’s players, but Nance Jr. could definitely be a solid fit in Memphis from what he’s shown with the Cavaliers.

It is very possible that there could be trade discussions at some point between the Cavaliers and Memphis between Nance Jr. and either Brooks or Anderson, but again, the Grizzlies would still have the same problem with roster spots since they are actively looking to cut down their roster number.

Overall though, the 28-year-old forward could fit in quite well in the Grizzlies’ system with Ja Morant as their leader. The Grizzlies run a lot of pick-and-roll sets, which would be favorable to Larry Nance Jr. given his athleticism, but they also look to push the tempo in transition.

Morant and Nance Jr. would make up a really tough duo to stop in transition and he could definitely provide them with some needed aid in their second-unit behind Jaren Jackson Jr. The Grizzlies are a young team on the rise and they have not been afraid to make some big moves this offseason in trade, which is why they could possibly target Larry Nance Jr. from the Cavaliers at some point.

As for the Cavaliers, they have a strong, young core in-place, but they still need more secondary talents. Dillon Brooks can not only score off-the-bench, but he can be a great defensive talent as well for them to utilize on the wing, something the Cavaliers currently do not have.

The Cavaliers want a decent sized return for Larry Nance Jr. and the Grizzlies want a decent sized return for Dillon Brooks, so there is potential for a trade like this to happen, but right now, it seems unlikely that either side would look to pull off this deal. Keep the Cavaliers and Grizzlies in the back of your mind as it pertains to trade talks with both of these players.
