New York Knicks Receive: F Andrew Wiggins
Golden State Warriors Receive: G/F Evan Fournier, F Kevin Knox II
This is a rather simple NBA trade scenario with Andrew Wiggins heading to the New York Knicks being the focus. The Golden State Warriors would receive Evan Fournier and Kevin Knox II in return.
Keep in mind, Fournier cannot be traded until the 90-day recently signed player exception passes. Again, this is not an NBA trade scenario that is predicated around the trade deadline, not before training camp.
Wiggins has been featured in NBA trade rumors since last offseason. His fit with the Golden State Warriors is less than ideal even though he showed some progress in his development as a player last season. With the Warriors adding Jonathan Kuminga in the 2021 NBA Draft, it seems as though there is potential to save on spending by moving on from Wiggins.
In order to acquire Wiggins, the Knicks would have to part ways with Fournier, who just signed a four-year deal with the team. It would be interesting to see the Knicks make this move but we have seen worse from the franchise.

There is previous experience with Wiggins and Thibodeau from their mutual time with the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Knicks showed a need for more creators in their half-court offense and Fournier would help
