Would this trade make sense for the Detroit Pistons?
The Detroit Pistons have a new core to rely on moving forward. The addition of Cade Cunningham has the chance to be a franchise-changer that can take the Pistons up a notch.
They have not been a postseason team in the Eastern Conference but there is a chance to win some more games in a group that has been unimpressive. Jerami Grant might not be part of the future and this is the immediate benefit for a trade.
Grant put up some big numbers last season but if he is not part of the future, Detroit should get a return. This is the most value that Grant has had during his time in the league.
The Pistons could get draft capital or some rotation-ready players to contribute. Here, they would get a bit of both. Beasley is another perimeter player that put up impressive offensive numbers last season. He would bring some depth to Detroit.

Also, the Pistons could land a first-round pick in next year’s draft. This is important to a franchise that is looking to continue to build moving forward.
If Grant is available, there will be plenty of teams interested. This is a chance for Detroit to cash in on its investment and flip Grant for some assets for the future.
