How A Trade Could Look Between Kings and Pelicans
The Sacramento Kings need to balance out their roster and the New Orleans Pelicans would present them the chance to do that. With Buddy Hield as the centerpiece of a deal, the Pelicans would be able to send a solid package over to the Kings.
Josh Hart, who is a restricted free agent, would be an excellent centerpiece in the return package should the Kings agree to a deal with him. The level of defense he brings would be an excellent addition to the team, as he can defend four different positions.
Hart can defend backcourt and wing players but is also strong enough to handle his own against some frontcourt players. He is also an elite rebounder for a wing player, averaging a career-high 8.0 per game this past season.
In addition to Hart, the Kings could acquire Tomas Satoransky, whom the Pelicans received from the Chicago Bulls in the Lonzo Ball sign-and-trade. If he is included, the trade will have to wait until October to be consummated because two months have not yet passed since he was acquired by the Pelicans.

If that does not work, the Pelicans could include Jaxson Hayes and Kira Lewis in a deal instead to make the salaries work. With some cap space, the Pelicans do not need to match salary sending out to Sacramento to absorb Hield’s contract.
Why is Hield a player that the New Orleans Pelicans should target? Here is a look as to why they are the best landing spot for him.
