Dallas Mavericks
The Dallas Mavericks focused on adding some more 3-point shooters and two-way players to their roster this offseason. Sterling Brown and Reggie Bullock were both signed in free agency after the team didn’t have a selection in the 2021 NBA Draft.
Both will provide some more defense to a team desperate for help on that end of the court while providing excellent floor-spacing offensively. Both Brown and Bullock knocked down over 40 percent of their 3-point attempts last season.
Alas, Dallas did fall short of adding a secondary ball-handler to play alongside Luka Doncic. The team should also aggressively pursue a second star to pair him with.
The team hoped that would be Kristaps Porzingis, but things haven’t panned out as planned. Porzingis is disappointed with his role on the team and disappeared in the postseason series against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Moving him in a trade will be difficult, but the Mavericks have to find a player that better fits alongside their franchise player in Doncic. A Doncic/Porzingis pick-and-roll is tough for teams to stop, but the team lacks another shot creator to help get them to that next level.
