New Orleans Pelicans
There isn’t a team in the NBA that needs to pull off a blockbuster trade more than the New Orleans Pelicans. They have missed the postseason in five of the last six years and that needs to change, quickly.
Zion Williamson, who has already cemented himself as a superstar in the league, already has family members trying to push him out of New Orleans. That is something the organization cannot allow to build up, so acquiring another star to pair with him to start winning is imperative.
The team already has another young All-Star in Brandon Ingram on the roster, but there are some questions about their long-term fit. No one would blame the Pelicans for trying to hold onto him to create their own Big 3 in the Big Easy, but he could also be used as the centerpiece in a deal for a more established superstar.
Whatever New Orleans decides to do, their decisions have to be made with Williamson in mind. Given what has happened in the past to the franchise with Chris Paul and Anthony Davis, they have to go out of their way to keep the former No. 1 pick out of Duke happy.

The Pelicans cleared a ton of cap space this offseason moving on from Eric Bledsoe and Steven Adams. A bigger move could be on the horizon, but they failed to make major improvements yet this offseason.
