Philadelphia 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers are going to be making a blockbuster trade at some point. Things have deteriorated between the franchise and Ben Simmons and he will likely be on the move before the 2021-22 season gets underway.

Things reached a breaking point following the team’s second-round exit from the postseason. The Atlanta Hawks defeated them in seven games despite the 76ers having the home-court advantage. It was yet another disappointing end to the season for Philadelphia and it seems as if things have reached a boiling point.

Simmons has cut off communication with the organization and is not returning calls of Joel Embiid either. He has made his intentions clear. Now, it is just a matter of when a deal gets done.

Daryl Morey has been asking for a lot in trade offers for Simmons, as the Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs, and Toronto Raptors were all sent proposals that were comical. Yes, the 76ers should be looking to get as much as they can for Simmons, but their current asking price is absurd.

While the Simmons trade talks have dominated the headlines, there are also reports that the team has been shopping Tobias Harris as well. The 76ers roster could look vastly different during the 2021-22 season than it did when the Hawks eliminated them this past summer.
