Damian Lillard
The Portland Trail Blazers are stuck in a tough spot. They are a perennial playoff team in the Western Conference, but they are unable to make any noise upon arriving there. Portland has been eliminated in the first round of the playoffs in four of the last five years.
Terry Stotts was fired as head coach as a result, with Chauncey Billups taking over. Billups could be looking at a drastically different roster if the front office breaks up their backcourt of Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum.
Lillard and McCollum are at the heart of the reason for the Trail Blazers being able to be true threats in the postseason. For all of the amazing things they do offensively, they are unable to get stops when they matter most on defense.
For this team to improve their ceiling, they have to break up their backcourt. While Damian Lillard would have a much bigger return package than McCollum, he will not be on the move before the 2021-22 season kicks off.

Damian Lillard will remain as the Trail Blazers’ starting point guard but he will have some new running mates. McCollum will be the player that is on the move as Portland shakes up their roster heading into the season.
