Would this trade make sense for the Portland Trail Blazers?

The Portland Trail Blazers are in that middle phase where they are a playoff team in the Western Conference but they have not taken that step towards contending for a championship.

If Lillard is moved, it is unlikely they contend moving forward but they could look at other options in case he sticks around. That is what they are doing in a trade such as this one.

Jonathan Isaac and Mo Bamba bring a lot of the same qualities. They both bring great size and length and would ideally provide a boost to this poor defensive group. Injures have halted any progress and a change of scenery could be good for both players the Orlando.

The Trail Blazers could benefit from this. Both Bamba and Isaac would benefit from playing with a strong backcourt like there is in Portland. They are new-age big men that could bring some depth the frontcourt in Portland. This is something the Blazers have not had and that is a reason they have not taken that next step.
