JJ Redick
At this point in JJ Redick’s career, he doesn’t appear to be consistently healthy enough to play much of a regular role for a team. However, he can provide veteran leadership and sharpshooting whenever he is actually able to make his way onto the floor.
After being traded to the Dallas Mavericks prior to the NBA trade deadline, Redick appeared in a total of 13 regular season games and was unable to make a single appearance in the playoffs.
The 36-year-old dealt with a heel injury that ultimately resulted in him undergoing a non-surgical procedure in order to relieve inflammation. He also suffers from Haglund’s that has led to bursitis and has some Achilles’ tendon tears that may require surgery.
Landing with a team where can frequently be maximized as a catch-and-shoot threat when he’s on the floor while competing for a championship makes the most sense.

It makes all the more sense for JJ Redick to land with the Nets when considering his family lives in Brooklyn, which was why he initially preferred a trade to either the New York Knicks or Nets before he was dealt by the New Orleans Pelicans at the trade deadline.
